Hi I am Rev. Maryrose Petrizzo, a Roman Catholic Woman Priest.
I would like to welcome you to the New Jerusalem Community- a St. Mary Magdalene Community of Drexel Hill, PA.
We are an inclusive Eucharistic gathering.
While today, because of the pandemic, we cannot meet in person,
we are meeting virtually online to share the the mass and to pray together.
Thus, everyone consecrates their own bread and wine at home.
We are an intentional community rooted in the gospel and catholic tradition.
For those of you who are new or visiting, we do some things differently here.
Words matter to us. We make an effort to use inclusive language whenever possible,
rather than words that focus on one gender.
Our homilies are interactive. We have an open sharing after the homily
and welcome any thoughts or comments you may have on the Scriptures or the homily.
As a community of equals, united by baptism in our common priesthood, anyone is permitted to proclaim the Gospel.
